Ground RulesBelow are some ground rules for everyone to read ahead of time to create a safe space for all attendees.
1) Stick to the Topic: Each meeting will focus on a specific topic and we will try to stay as close to this topic/subject matter as possible with our discussion. 2) Trust, Acknowledge and Respect: Everyone has come to the table to learn, grow, and share. We acknowledge that we may be at different stages of learning on the industry content and discussion topics. We agree to treat other participants' reflections and questions with respect, with the goal of helping each other learn. 3) No Blame: This group is not for calling out individual people, groups, roles or companies/organisations publicly. 4) Share the Air: Share responsibility for including all voices in the discussion. If you have a tendency to dominate discussions, take a step back and help the group invite others to speak. If you tend to stay quiet, challenge yourself to share ideas so others can learn from you. 5) Ask for help: It's okay not to know. Keep in mind that we are all still learning and are bound to make mistakes when approaching a complex task or exploring new ideas. Be open to changing your mind, and make space for others to do so as well. |
